Enhanced Focus in OPRA
The OPRA exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions to be completed in 2.5 hours. The exam places greater emphasis on therapeutics and practical application of pharmacy knowledge compared to the previous KAPS exam.
OPRA exams are held in March, June, September, and November. Registration typically opens 3 months before each exam date.
The OPRA exam fee is AUD $2,190 (as of 2025). This is actually a reduction from the previous KAPS exam fee.
The OPRA exam maintains similar standards to the previous KAPS exam. Pass rates vary by country of training. Our students typically achieve higher success rates with proper preparation.
OPRA replaced KAPS in March 2025. Key changes include: 120 MCQs (instead of 200), 2.5 hours duration (same), greater focus on therapeutics and practical application, Rasch scoring methodology, and a lower exam fee (AUD $2,190 vs $2,290).
